StudioDeWynter is an independent design practice specialising in architectural interiors, informed by timeless principles of beauty, proportion and narrative. Through thoughtful composition, each proposal is conceived as a coherent whole with its own unique identity—one that could belong to no one else.

StudioDeWynter approaches kitchens and interiors through an understanding of the people who inhabit them: their needs, aspirations and everyday lives. This understanding is considered alongside the architecture, proportion, circulation, natural light and relationships between spaces. Drawing on a multidisciplinary design perspective, these elements are brought together to develop a coherent response to both the people and the place.
A kitchen or interior should belong to the life lived within it, while responding to the architecture.
Independent of the manufacturer
Because StudioDeWynter is independent of any particular kitchen or furniture manufacturer, the design comes first. The manufacturer becomes a means of delivering the design, not the starting point for it.
This allows kitchens and interiors to be developed around the architecture, the brief and the way you live, rather than asking the architecture to accommodate a predetermined kitchen system.

A way of working
StudioDeWynter's way of working is more akin to architectural design than the traditional interior design and supply route.
Every project begins with the client's brief, the architectural context and an understanding of how the home is lived in. From there, the design is developed into a considered proposal, then resolved through drawings, materials, finishes and detailed specification.
Once the design is established, the appropriate manufacturer, fabricator or specialist supplier is selected to deliver it. StudioDeWynter coordinates with the relevant parties throughout the process and, where required, remains involved through delivery, working with the wider project team to ensure the design is properly communicated and the design intent preserved.
A way of thinking
StudioDeWynter brings a multidisciplinary design perspective to each project, looking beyond what is said to uncover what matters most and establish its underlying organising principle. Architecture, interiors and landscape are brought into dialogue, with the whole and its parts continually informing one another. Each decision is refined in relation to that wider vision, until the design expresses its underlying intention through form, function and feeling.
